Hey readers,

I know why mental health awareness is important to me, but why is it important to you? Your story makes all the difference, breaking stigmas starts with you. #SW4MH

  1. I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression first-hand and I can’t imagine where I would be today without the help of mental professionals. I owe so much of my daily ability to function to my psychologist and psychiatrist. I’m so grateful to have had the resources to get help for my mental illness! The only thing I wish I would have done differently is to have gotten help earlier. I thought mental illness was something other people had, but not me. I was never taught that mental illness was just like any other illness that people get, and that I should not be afraid to seek treatment for it. That is why I support the cause of mental health awareness. It is a very important part of healthcare and should not be ignored or stigmatized. I hope the future holds a better understanding and access to treatment for those who need it. Thanks for reading this; I hope it has helped you develop your own opinion on mental health awareness. Have a great day! 🙂
